Infinity Gauntlet Limited Time Mashup
Avengers: Infinity War's Thanos is coming to Fortnite: Battle Royale for a limited time mashup. Epic Games announced the 'Infinity Gauntlet Limited Time Mashup' where players will get to travel the map in search of the Infinity Gauntlet containing six Infinity Stones. Success in collecting the Infinity Gauntlet will activate the ability to turn you into Thanos. Anyone with the Infinity Gauntlet will have a huge advantage over other players.
Thanos and the Infinity Stones
In the Marvel Universe, there were six Infinity Stones. Each of the six rocks had incredible power and when combined, the power multiplied exponentially. Infinity Stones were first known as Soul Gems and were introduced back in the 1972 comics. In the comics, Mad Titan Thanos wanted the six soul gems to destroy the world. He was defeated but was later resurrected and tried once again to collect the Infinity Stones that were dispersed throughout the galaxy. Thanos successfully collected all the gems and inserted them in his Infinity Gauntlet and proceeded to destroy half the universe's population.
Infinity Stones Explained
Tesseract (Space Stone)
This blue gem has the power to teleport any object from one place in the universe to another place. The blue gem can also be used to create futuristic weapons of mass destruction.
Aether (Reality Stone)
The Aether is a mysterious force existing in the form of a red liquid that can float and attach itself to a person. Although parasitic in the how it bonds to a living host, the relationship could possibly be symbiotic in nature... possibly helping its host during a battle.
Orb (Power Stone)
This purple stone gives the owner incredible power including superhuman strength capable of shooting purple beams of death.
Loki's Scepter/Vision (Mind Stone)
This yellow infinity gem is a mind stone that allows the wielder to control other people's minds.
In the comics this stone appeared as a sentient being that had the power to trap souls inside other worlds.
This Infinity Stone can fluctuate through time.

In Fortnite's Infinity Gauntlet Limited Time Mashup, getting these six Infinity Stones could up your game play significantly, giving you some awesome superpowers during a battle. Imagine how fun it would be to spray red liquid goo of death at your most disliked opponent. What if you could use the Orb to shoot out purple lasers beams or use the Time Stone to rewrite all of time instantly (Well, ok, maybe just rewrite the battle you are currently in).
Take a look at this video to see where the stones have appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. If Fortnite developers have borrowed any inspiration from these movies at all, this video might be able to provide us some clues as to where the Infinity Gauntlet might appear in Fornite's Infinity Gauntlet Limited Time Mashup.
